2022 - Present

For twenty years, Alex Tavares served as an English professor and developed a reputation for editing and revising complex academic work. Alex loves to share stories. As a published novelist, he first entered the world of finance while doing research for a book project. 

At Howland and Associates, Alex provides perspective on portfolio management. He is adept at helping clients better understand their own financial stories. Alex also creates communications campaigns, writes policy, and directs marketing strategies at Howland and Associates, LLC.

Alex is a tenured professor and holds a Master of Fine Arts from Antioch University Los Angeles. He spends his weekends fishing on his bay boat in Old Tampa Bay with his wife and two children.
