2022 - Present

Alex Tavares is our resident storyteller. He understands personal narratives and is adept at helping clients better understand their own financial stories. At Howland and Associates, Alex provides perspective on portfolio management and creates communications campaigns, writes policy, and directs marketing strategies.

Prior to joining Howland, Alex Tavares served as an English professor and Department Chair at a local college in Tampa for nearly twenty years. He is a tenured professor and holds a Master of Fine Arts from Antioch University Los Angeles. He spends his weekends fishing on his bay boat in Old Tampa Bay with his wife and two children.
